The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has issued the Drugs and Cosmetics (Amendment) Rules, 2021 through notification dated 26 February, 2021.
The amendment provides that drugs supplied by Community Health Officers and Anganwadi Workers at Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centers is exempted from the requirement to be covered by a sale license, provided the drugs are supplied under the Health or Family Welfare Programme of the Central or State Governments.
