The Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) on Tuesday has amended the notification no. SO 3170(E) dated June 29, 2018 which specifies the constitution of State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Chhattisgarh.
The following amendment has been made:
“2 A. Notwithstanding anything contained in paragraph 2, the Chairman and members of the Authority, Chhattisgarh shall hold office for a term up to the 28th September, 2021 or till the reconstitution of the new Authority, Chhattisgarh, whichever is earlier.”;
“6 A. Notwithstanding anything contained in paragraph 6, the Chairman and members of the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Chhattisgarh shall hold office for a term up to the 28th September, 2021 or till the re-constitution of the new State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Chhattisgarh, whichever is earlier.”.
