The Consumer Affairs Ministry recently released the E-Commerce Guidelines for Consumer Protection 2019. The draft guidelines says the e-commerce firms must self-declare compliance and also provide a way for customers to contact them directly.

It is fairly good news for consumers, since e-commerce players will now have to follow specific guidelines for every transaction that you make. The draft guidelines seek to protect personally-identifiable information of customers and set a 14-day limit for payments toward refund requests.
